Matthew's Story
My journey has been one of deep exploration and transformation, significantly shaped by my lived foster care experience and the profound impact of appearing on BBC DNA Family Secrets with Stacey Dooley. These pivotal moments taught me the immense strength found in fully embracing every facet of who we are, solidifying my belief that understanding our identity is crucial for an authentic and happy life.

This understanding is rooted in the principles of Intersectionality, a framework developed by legal scholar Kimberlé Crenshaw. Her work highlights how various aspects of our identity – like race, gender, and lived experience – intersect to create unique advantages or challenges. It's this nuanced perspective on identity that underpins my passion.​
